I'm at Mangerton Mill, Mangerton, Bridport DT6 3SG

​I moved into my new studio at the end of December 2024 and I have been spending my time generally decorating and hanging pictures. It is now March and my studio is open for the public. I am OPEN DAILY FROM Wednesday - Saturday, 10 am - 4 pm. my workspace is at the back of the premises, but I have opened as a "Local Makers Shop & Gallery", displaying a whole host of local artists work.

My new signs are out , so this is what to look out for.

It's getting really exciting now, with a whole range of artworks: ceramics, metalwork, wood turning,  needlepoint animals and glass alongside the enamel mugs, placemats, coasters and quality prints of my Relief Sculpted Landscapes and drawings.  Everything is for sale and at very reasonable prices to suit your pocket.  This is a very pleasant 1/2 day out.  There are local walks, a wonderful cafe for treats and a delicious lunch.  A miniature boating lake on the premises and even a hairdressers and a picture framers.  Come and visit.  It will be great to see you. Look out for the Guest artists every month and I will start adding information about the existing artists here and on social media.

EXHIBITIONS AND EVENTS IN 2025

 25th April - 8th May 2025   DORSET IN COLOUR - An art exhibition by 4 local artists Jenny Penney, Christine Tucker and Rupert Andrews in Card, acrylic, clay and felt.

10am - 4.30pm daily Eype Church, Mount Lane, Eype, Dorset DT6 6AR

Dorset in Colour is an exhibition by 4 local artists, Jenny Penney, Caroline Tucker, Rupert Andrews and Clare Hughes working in complex media. Each creates their own unique finish, inspired by the land and sea of this beautiful county. The individuals have developed their own personal “mode of colour, texture and shapes” created through manipulating acrylic, card, clay or felt. The results are bright, energetic and colourful offering a delightful and thought provoking exhibition.

Jenny uses a scalpel to manipulate texture and develop layers, creating Dorset's landscapes or birds into very unusual and eye catching 'Relief' art work. Caroline has a background in textile design and this can be seen in her colourful floral and textural acrylic painting inspired by the countryside.
Rupert makes a beautiful range of wheel thrown and slab built ceramics. He has spent 30 years perfecting his unique sealed and colourful crackle glaze. Clare is fascinated by the natural world and uses her personal heritage of technical drawing and engineering to create absorbing felt works in fine detail.
